Crime Prevention And Community Resolutions Panel Discussion With Q & A On February 24 In Hamden

Residents are encouraged to attend the virtual event.

Hamden – Mayor Curt Balzano Leng and Police Chief Sullivan have announced the continuation of the Crime Prevention and Community Resolutions Discussions which began in January, with the third discussion being held Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 at 7:00pm on ZOOM. All members of the public are invited to attend the meeting. Connection details are included in this release below, and are posted on the Hamden.com home page, under "News & Updates" and on the Calendar prior to the meeting.

The purpose of the discussion series is to update residents on efforts being taken to address increases in crime and to facilitate healthy discussions and resolutions regarding crime prevention and public safety within the Town of Hamden. Residents are encouraged to attend the virtual event. The program will include brief introductions, an update on efforts being taken to address and prevent crime in Hamden and a brief discussion from a panel of key public safety and community stakeholders, time to answer questions brought forward by the community in advance and an open, Town Hall style Q & A period to allow all residents to participate and offer their thoughts, ideas or questions.

Residents need to know that Town and Police leadership are actively engaged and taking actions to protect our citizens, every day. We've also seen and heard some great community input throughout the last two sessions, we hope there will be another large group of participants for our third session.
