Driver, 14, Arrested After Crashing Stolen Car: Hamden Police
Police said three occupants, all 14-years-old, were seriously injured and taken to the hospital after the crash, which involved 3 vehicles.
HAMDEN, CT — A 14-year-old driver was arrested after crashing a stolen vehicle Tuesday in Hamden, according to police.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Dixwell Avenue and Connolly Parkway and involved three vehicles, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Police found that a 14-year-old New Haven resident was driving a stolen vehicle and was responsible for the crash, according to Smith. The vehicle was stolen in Derby on March 3.

The stolen vehicle, which was heavily damaged, struck a tree after the initial crash. The three occupants, all 14-years-old, suffered serious injuries and were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, Smith said.
The driver was arrested and charged with second-degree larceny. He is scheduled to appear in New Haven Juvenile Court on March 26.

Officer Nicholas Lovett of the Hamden Police Department Traffic Division is continuing the investigation, Smith said.
