Firefighters Rescue Woodchuck Stuck In Stove Pipe In Hamden
The woodchuck's head was stuck in a stove pipe, according to officials.
HAMDEN, CT — Firefighters were called on to make a unique rescue Friday in Hamden.
Firefighters met up with the town’s animal control officer on the report of a woodchuck stuck in a pipe, according to officials.
“Upon arrival, Engine 3 found the animal with its head stuck in a stove pipe,” officials wrote in a post on the Hamden Fire Department’s Facebook page. “HFD personnel removed the stove pipe and peeled it apart enough to free the animal then released it.”
