First-Ever Hamden Fest Event Set For Saturday

HAMDEN, CT — The first-ever Hamden Fest will be held on Saturday, June 1 at Town Center Park. The Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Town of Hamden to present the event. In addition to the 15th Annual Business and Community Expo, the Fest will feature an event-filled day that will kick off the 2019 season at Town Center Park.
The day’s events will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the Hamden 5K Road Race. The Kids’ Fun Run will start at 10 a.m. The Expo will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. concurrently with an Arts, Crafts & Antiques Fair, the Kids Zone by Hamden Youth Services Bureau and the Miller Memorial Library’s Book Sale. There will also be lots of music, entertainment, food trucks and so much more, according to organizers.
At 4 p.m. on Friday, readers can enjoy a preview Book Sale while runners register for the Road Race and Fun Run at Thornton Wilder Hall in The Miller Library. The $10 Book Sale preview fee includes membership in The Friends of the Hamden Library. People can buy books either on Friday or Saturday. Runners may also register at www.TeamMossman.com.
