Hamden Chamber Online Shopping Event Begins May 4

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce has joined forces with the MidState and Cheshire chambers of commerce to promote our retailers in a unique way. Beginning May 4 and running through May 7, HRCC President Nancy Dudchik will visit retailers and live stream 15-minute segments on the HRCC Facebook page to help promote the businesses. For local businesses, the coronavirus pandemic is clearly the most challenging period ever. The Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce recognizes the struggles that all local businesses are facing, and we are doing all we can to help. Now, the Chamber has now joined forces with the MidState and Cheshire chambers of commerce to promote our retailers in a unique way.

When the pandemic first began, the HRCC immediately got behind its restauranteurs with a “Take-Out-Take-Over” promotion, to encourage people to support our restaurants’ take-out business. Early on, the HRCC enhanced its website to include links to those restaurants and their menus, as well as links to other businesses offering specials during the crisis and links to resources and information available to help with financing and coping strategies. We have been sponsoring weekly webinars to help business professionals weather the COVID-19 storm. Now, in a tri-Chamber effort the HRCC is launching “Retail Take-Over” in support of retailers who would otherwise be completely closed.

Beginning May 4 and running through May 7, HRCC President Nancy Dudchik will visit retailers and live stream 15-minute segments on the HRCC Facebook page to help promote the businesses. HRCC retailers to be featured include: Lady Olga Lingerie; The Blue Dodo; Dancers World; Joseph Conte Jewelers, The Fat Robin; Rumanoff’s Fine Jewelry; LaModa Fashions; Books & Company; ACHIQ Designs; and more.

Please join us to experience live online shopping every afternoon on the Hamden Chamber’s Facebook page. Pick up some take-out from one of your favorite local restaurants, and then shop with us! You will be able to see great products right from your home computer, contact the store directly and work out delivery/curbside pick-up details. You can make a difference by helping our small businesses during this crisis. The Retail Take-Over event comes at a perfect time for Mother’s Day and other upcoming special occasions.
