Hamden Company Receives $2.2M PPP Loan, Plans To Bring Back Staff

Officials say the loan will allow the company to bring back furloughed workers.

HAMDEN, CT — A publicly traded Hamden company has received a $2.2 million Paycheck Protection Program loan that officials say will allow it to bring back furloughed workers, according to the Hartford Business Journal.

The Hartford Business Journal reports transaction-hardware vendor TransAct Technologies Inc., a Hamden-based company, announced in late March that it was scaling back expansion plans and cutting $1.75 million in operating expenses in response to the new coronavirus pandemic.
