Hamden Dunkin Donuts Robbed Sunday

A man threatened to shoot the clerk before taking off with cash, according to police.

Hamden Police are searching for the man who robbed the Dunkin Donuts on Dixwell Avenue Sunday night.

At about 11:30 p.m. Sunday police got a report of a robbery at the restaurant at 1900 Dixwell Ave, police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said Monday.

A man, described as black, about 5'10" with a medium build and wearing a black mask, demanded money from the clerk, Smith said., and threatened to shoot the employee.

He fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money, Smith said.

Officer Jason Venditto and his K-9 partner “Viking” tracked the man to a nearby street but were unable to find him, Smith said. No one was injured.

Officer Justin Martin conducted the initial investigation and the Hamden Police Department Detective Division is continuing the investigation, Smith said.
