Hamden Man Killed in Waterford Accident
He was driving on I-395 early Thursday morning when he apparently lost control of his truck, hit the center medium and was then hit by a tractor-trailer, according to state police.
State Police are reporting that an early morning accident Thursday on I-395 in Waterford claimed the life of a Hamden man.
According to the report, Joseph Civitelli, 24, of Hamden, was driving a pick-up truck on Route I-395 northbound at about 2:30 Thursday morning when he drifted across the highway and hit a center median.
The truck then was thrown into the southbound lanes of the highway, where it was struck by a tractor-trailer.

Civitelli was thrown from his truck. He was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the report.
