Barbara Burrill Canfield, 96, died On Oct. 24, 2013 at Whitney Center, where she lived since 1996.
Born in Bristol on July 13, 1917, she was the daughter of Charles Elmer and Blanche Smith Burrill and the wife of the late Rodney Blair Canfield.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Donald) Showalter of Branford; son, William (Monica) Canfield of King of Prussia, PA., grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer (Peter) Greene, and former son-in-law, Ralph C. Jones, Jr., of Hamden.
She was predeceased by her sister, Alta Arnold, brother, Lloyd Burrill, and great granddaughter, Evelyn Greene.
The family expresses appreciation to all staff at Whitney Center.
