Hamden Obituaries: Dominic V. Daddio, 90
Dominic was always a hard worker and good provider for his family.

Dominic V. Daddio, 90, of Hamden, entered into eternal rest Nov. 4, 2013 at CT. Hospice in Branford after a seven month battle with cancer. He is the husband of 52 years to Helen (Longobardi) Daddio.
Mr. Daddio was born in New Haven on Sept. 14, 1923, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Aitro) D'Addio, Sr. He was an East Haven resident until 1979, when he moved to Hamden.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946 and worked for Armstrong Rubber Co., M&B Electric, and the State of Connecticut as an Electrician until retiring in 1986.
Dominic was always a hard worker and good provider for his family. He enjoyed his winter trips to Florida with his brother Phil. He also enjoyed going to the movies and dining out weekly with his wife, family and occasional friends.
He leaves his only daughter, Joann Daddio-Geriak, his only grandson, Thomas O'Bara, and his son in law Daniel Geriak, all of Hamden. Dominic is predeceased by his brothers, Philip Daddio, Joseph D'Addio and a sister Mary (Daddio) Pagliuca. He was honored to have his uncle, Vincent Aitro, age 101, of East Haven, available to talk with during his last days.

His funeral will leave from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Thursday at 9:30 a.m., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial in Mt. Carmel Burial Ground. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m.
