Helen N. Pelosi Ferro, 89, of Hamden, died Oct. 14, 2013.
She was the wife of the late John Ferro and the loving mother of Anthony J. Ferro (MaryAnne) of Hamden, and a daughter. She also is survived by her cherished grandchildren Laura Johnson (Michael), Diana Zarro (Michael), Kristina Ferro and two other grandchildren and a great granddaughter Madison Johnson. She was predeceased by a brother Anthony Pelosi.
Helen was born in New Haven on Nov. 5, 1923, daughter of the late Nicola and Carmela Pelosi. She had worked as a seamstress for Halsey Temper for 35 years and was the bookkeeper for Ferro Landscaping for 40 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden was in care of arrangements. www.siskbrothers.com
