Hamden Obituaries: Joseph MW Manacchio, Sr., 36
Joe loved his family, especially his three boys who were the center of his life.
Joseph MW Manacchio, Sr. of Hamden died suddenly Nov. 26, 2013 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was the husband of Madalena Petruzelli Manacchio.
Joseph was the devoted father to Joseph MW Jr., Bruno and Rocco Manacchio. He also was the brother of Jean Marie Rivera and Kirby Manacchio and grandson of Shirley Ruggiero and the late Albert Ruggiero and Rose Mumford. He also is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joe was born in New Haven on Oct. 16, 1977, the son of Paula Ruggiero Manacchio and the late Charles Manacchio. He served in the Young Marines for 10 years and was a 1995 graduate of Notre Dame High School. He was currently working as a sous chef.
Joe loved his family, especially his three boys who were the center of his life.
Relatives and friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Iovanne Funeral Home, 11 Wooster Place in New Haven and are asked to go directly to St. Rita Church Saturday morning at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Manacchio Children’s Education Fund through the funeral director.
