
Lillian B. Coles, 75, of Hamden, passed away at her home on Oct. 2, 2013.
Born in Ansonia on Sept. 26, 1938, she was the daughter of Lillian Jackson Black of SC & the late Edward Black.
Lillian is survived by her daughters, Judith Gist, Nancy Boyd & Barbara Inge, all of Hamden; sons, Thomas Boyd (Sheila) of Florida, Keith Boyd (Pamela) of New Haven and Arnold “Scott” Boyd (Jackie) of West Haven; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Johnson of SC & Janice Gore of VA and brother Howard Black of SC. She was predeceased by her brother William Black.
Lillian was the widow of Fredrick Coles. Lillian was a retired U.S. Postal Clerk with 25 years of service.
Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
