Hamden Police Investigating AT&T Burglary

Cell phones were stolen in the early morning burglary Sunday, according to police.

Police are investigating a burglary that happened early Sunday morning at the AT&T Wireless Store in the Hamden Plaza.

On Sunday at about 4:15 a.m. Hamden Police responded to the store at 2100 Dixwell Ave. on the report of a burglar alarm, police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said Monday.

"Upon arrival, officers found the front window broken. Investigation revealed that an individual, who is described as a white male, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and light-colored pants, broke the front window with an unidentified object," Smith said. "Once inside, several cellular telephones were taken."

Police searched the area but didn't find anything, Smith said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Michael DePalma at 203-230-4040.
