Hamden Fireworks 2016: Your Complete Guide
The threat of inclement weather has postponed the show.

Hamden, CT — With inclement in the forecast, the Hamden Volunteer Firefighters 23rd Annual Town of Hamden Independence Day Fireworks Display is being postponed until Saturday, July 2, town officials announced on Friday morning.
“Public safety concerns must take precedence,” officials said in a press release on the town’s Facebook page. “Event preparations require significant notice to postpone, so the Volunteer Firefighters Committee must rely upon the best forecasting info available at this time. The Volunteer Firefighter’s Committee and the Co-Sponsors, the Town of Hamden and the Hamden Arts Commission, feel this decision is in the best interest of public safety. We apologize for this disappointment and any inconvenience caused.”
