Hamden Public Schools Opt For Distance Learning: Here's When
Coronavirus cases are surging in Hamden and across Connecticut. The Board of Education voted Saturday night.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Board of Education voted Saturday night to move the public schools to distance learning beginning the Monday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 23, through Jan. 19, 2021.
NBC CT said officials decided the move was needed in order to allow families to quarantine during the holidays as COVID-19 cases are on the rise throughout Connecticut.
Hamden BOE voted in a Saturday evening Special Meeting just now to move to distance learning program from the Monday before Thanksgiving to January 19th. No answer is perfect. So many factors. But this was the right action. A smart plan - w safety being first. @qvhd @HamdenPta
