Hamden Residents Encouraged to Participate in Holiday Light Map
The Dept. of Arts and Culture invites residents to add their home holiday light display to a public map for others to enjoy from their cars

With the need to continue to stay socially distant this winter, opportunities to experience the arts together have certainly evolved. Luckily, one traditional holiday activity remains a safe option for most families - driving around to see how our neighbors have adorned their homes with festive, holiday light displays.
The Hamden Dept. of Arts and Culture encourages residents to add their addresses to the Hamden Home Holiday Light Display Map (sign up link below).

The idea is to volunteer to put your address, and therefore your holiday light display, on the map for people to drive by and enjoy from their cars when the sun goes down. Each address on the map has been festively decorated with as many, or as little decorations as the owner pleases, and can be representative of any winter holiday they like.
There are already over 20 homes added to this public list and we expect a great deal more as more decorations are put up over the coming weeks.

(If you visit any of these locations, please remember that these are people's private homes. Please respect this initiative by staying off of people's private properties and enjoying their displays from the safety of your own vehicles).
