Hamden’s 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled
Hamden's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.
HAMDEN, CT — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Hamden.
The Hamden Arts Commission recently announced that there will be no fireworks or summer concerts in town this year due to coronavirus safety restrictions and state crowd-size limitations.
“We are continuing to collaborate with the Hamden Dept. of Arts and Culture and hope to bring some smaller events and opportunities to Hamden later on in the year when we have a better understanding of what safety restrictions will still be in place,” officials recently wrote in a post on Facebook.
