How did you come up with the name?

I thought that the name was catchy and it started with the letter A which at the time was important for phonebook placement.

Why choose that location? Why start a business in this town?

Hamden has been my home for 28 years now and I was the only bail bond office in Hamden.

Briefly, what business are you in?

Bail Bonds. I provide bail to accused offenders when they are arrested.

What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

No doubt about it making payroll! The business has big ups and downs and if people do not need your service there is no possible way to sell it to them.

What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?

I am proud of the service that we provide because bail bondsmen are a very big part of the criminal justice system. We keep the jails from overcrowding, we monitor defendants while they are out on bail and if they do not appear in court it is our obligation to return them to court even if they leave the state or even the country. These services we provide are no cost to taxpayers what so ever unlike any other for of pretrial release programs.

How does your business give back or get involved in the community?

I have personally been part of the Big Brothers program and the company makes donations to charities not only locally but nationally.
