Residents are asked to put the brush and limbs at the curb, and pick-up of the piles will occur town-wide with one pass-through on August 17th, 2020. Normally the Town only takes small amounts of brush during leaf season, but due to the extraordinary weather events, the Town is taking the extra steps to assist. Please be sure to have all of the tree limbs and brush out to the curb by this day in neat piles no more than 6 feet long, as there will be only one opportunity to utilize this added service. Please note that Public Works will only accept brush and tree limbs of manageable size, stumps and tree trunks will not be accepted. Grass, leaves, and construction debris will not be accepted.

Residents seeking an alternate disposal option may bring their debris to the Hamden Transfer Station, 231 Wintergreen Ave, Monday through Friday from 7:30 – 11:30am and 12:30 – 3:00pm. The Transfer Station is currently closed on Saturdays.

"Hamden could really use this extra-service, as many of our neighborhoods were impacted by the tropical storm we experienced on the 3rd. This collection service will be conducted during normal working hours and will incur no additional expenses outside of regular operations." said Mayor Leng.

If you have any questions regarding this pick-up schedule, please contact Public Works at 203-287-2600.
