HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Department of Arts and Culture is seeking artists, writers, photographers, graphic designers, poets, illustrators or any creative-minded Hamden resident who would like to participate in the town’s "Hamden Has H-Art" exhibition.

Officials are asking participants to share their messages of care, including physical distancing, washing your hands, staying home, and checking in on seniors and neighbors, to name a few.

“The messages can take the form of art, quotes, poems, collages, or any medium that you can transfer to your computer and send to us electronically, to honor our very own frontline heroes, doctors, nurses, EMTs, police, fire, grocery store workers, custodians, transportation, food delivery and postal workers, teachers, loved ones, and more,” according to a news release from the arts department. “We are asking the Hamden art community to share their inspiration for these heroes with an online exhibition that will be broadcast on the Town of Hamden’s Arts and Culture website and social media. Images selected will be highlighted daily and viewers will be given the option to print the images on their own computers or share electronically.
