The craft beer and gourmet pretzel bar closed just months after opening in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hop Knot in Hamden closed abruptly this week, just months after opening on Dixwell Avenue. The eatery, a craft beer and gourmet pretzel bar, opened its location at 2425 Dixwell Ave. in October 2019.
A hand-written sign, saying “Permanently Closed” was posted at both of the restaurant’s entrances. No statement about the closing was posted on The Hop Knot’s Facebook page, other than “Permanently Closed” listed for the restaurant’s hours. Messages seeking more information were not returned.
The Hop Knot also has locations in Middletown, Storrs and New Hampshire. Another location in Southington closed last year. The original Hop Knot in Middletown launched in April 2016 before the company began expanding in 2017.
