Latest Details on Hamden’s Very Rainy Mother's Day Weekend Forecast

HAMDEN, CT — The latest details on the Mother’s Day weekend forecast in Hamden includes lots of rain, but once we get past this weekend, we're finally looking at a nice weather week coming up.

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, "Lots of clouds and some sunshine today with our temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. More clouds tonight leading to rain moving in on Saturday. The rain will be moving in very slowly starting around 8 AM western Connecticut and it might take until 3-4 PM eastern Connecticut. Heavy rain Saturday night, ending early on Sunday. Not a washout, but a few scattered showers possible for Mother's Day."

Saturday: Rain, mainly after 10am. High near 55. East wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Rain. Low around 45. Northeast wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Sunday: Rain likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 60. North wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 64.
