Man Arrested On Gun Charge: Hamden Police

The man was arrested while detectives were continuing a previous investigation, according to officials.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man was arrested on a gun charge after police said he was found with a revolver in his pocket.

Police were “continuing a previous investigation” on May 14 when they saw a vehicle on Grandview Avenue that was occupied by Tyquan Harrison, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

As officers were approaching Harrison, he began to reach toward his feet, Smith said.

Harrison and detained and detectives found a “.38 Special 5 Shot Revolver” inside his pocket, according to Smith. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

Harrison, 24, was charged with carrying a revolver without a permit. He was detained on a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on May 28.
