Man Burglarized Business, Stole $15K In Items: Hamden Police

The man is accused of stealing about $15,000 worth of items during a burglary in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man is accused of breaking into a business and stealing about $15,000 worth of items last year, according to police.

Police responded to Airline Accessory Services at 455 Putnam Ave. on June 20, 2020 on the report of a burglary, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Police found that Michael Spangler had forcibly entered the business and stole items that were valued at about $15,000, Smith said.

Detective Shawn Nutcher conducted the investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Spangler.

Spangler, 43, of Towne House Road, was arrested April 12 and charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree larceny. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 7.
