Hamden Man Facing Pot Charges After Disputing Smoking Charge on Bill in Milford

A Hamden man was arrested for possession of marijuana Wednesday after police said he contacted them regarding a hotel bill that charged him for allegedly smoking in the room.

Jeremy Bischoff, 26, of Warner Street, was released on a promise to appear for a scheduled court date of Jan. 28.

The alleged incident happened at 190 Old Gate Lane, the address of the Hyatt Place hotel, at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, New Year’s Day.

It was not immediately known how much marijuana Bischoff was charged for possessing.
