Man Killed In ATV Crash In Hamden: Police
The accident happened Tuesday afternoon in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — A 43-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash Tuesday afternoon in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to “power line trails” in the area of Gaylord Mountain Road and West Woods Road around 3:45 p.m. on the report of an accident involving an ATV, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Moments later, Hamden Fire Department personnel found the man near an unoccupied ATV, according to Smith. The man was dead, Smith said.

A preliminary investigation found that the man “may have lost control, as he attempted to negotiate a turn,” according to Smith.
The man was ejected from the ATV. An autopsy was scheduled to be performed on Wednesday, Smith said.

The man’s identity hasn’t been released.
