Man Shot In Car, Crashes In Hamden: Police
Police said the man was shot in the head, leg and shoulder and crashed the vehicle after the shooting.
HAMDEN, CT — A Georgia man was shot while driving late Thursday night in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to the area of Bowen Street and Cherry Ann Street around 11 p.m. on the report of a shooting and a motor vehicle accident, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
An investigation found that a 36-year-old Georgia resident was traveling in his vehicle heading west on Cherry Ann Street, Smith said. The man was shot at by a person who was sitting inside a white vehicle, according to Smith.

Smith said the Georgia resident was shot in the head, leg and shoulder. After being shot, his vehicle crashed, south of Cherry Ann Street, and he was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment, according to Smith.
