Man Shot In Parking Lot In Hamden: Police

HAMDEN, CT — A man was shot multiple times in the parking lot of the Dixwell Social Lounge in Hamden late Friday night, according to police.

Police responded to the lounge at 940 Dixwell Ave. around 11 p.m. on the report of a shooting, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said a woman told Central Communications that she was taking the shooting victim to Yale-New Haven Hospital. The victim was shot in the neck and groin, according to Smith.

The large crowd that gathered at the crime scene couldn’t provide any information, Smith said.
