Memorial Day 2016: Hamden Announces Parade Marshals

The Hamden Veterans Commission is proud to announce this year's Memorial Day Parade marshals, Fred Baselice and Vera Morrison.

Each year the Commission chooses a veteran and a citizen who have sacrificed for the country and contributed to the community on behalf of patriotism.

Baselice is a WWII veteran who served in the Army for seven years as a first line medic and Mrs. Morrison, Hamden’s Town Clerk, is the keeper of Hamden’s records and has been relentless in her work for veterans, including her American Warrior trips to Washington, D.C.

Immediately following the parade, a ceremony to honor our Marshalls will be held at Hamden Middle School, located at 2623 Dixwell Ave, Hamden, CT 06518.

All parade attendees are invited to attend.

The parade will take place on Monday, May 30 and steps off at 10 a.m.
