New CVS Pharmacy Opens In Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — Officials celebrated the grand opening of the new CVS Pharmacy at 1245 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday.

“We’re excited to bring all that this new store has to offer to the Hamden community,” Sokol Veliaj, district leader for CVS Pharmacy, said. “This latest opening will bring our customers even more convenient access to the essential health products and pharmacy services they need to keep themselves and their families healthy, especially as we enter cold and flu season. We are proud to continue making the latest innovations more accessible and affordable to our customers.”

The store experienced some delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, but CVS officials said they are excited to finally open.

“While the COVID-19 pandemic has brought challenges for everyone, because we are a community health care provider, it remains important to us to continue serving patients and customers alike by staying on track with store openings to ensure customers have easy access to our pharmacy and health offerings,” officials said. “While we may have experienced some delays due to restrictions imposed for everyone’s safety, we’re excited to now open and provide the community with best-in-class pharmacy services as well as access to our incredible assortment of health and beauty products, including our exclusive store brand lines which offer the highest quality products at a great value.”

The new CVS Pharmacy in Hamden provides a “one-stop-shop where customers can find best-in-class pharmacy services and access to our assortment health and beauty essentials that help our customers on their path to better health,” according to a news release.

“In addition, this location will include an expanded assortment of healthier foods so shoppers have convenient access to better-for-you choices while stopping in for essentials as well as expanded customer-driven personalization, convenient access to trends and coveted brands, and more,” the news release states. “These new features are all designed to enhance the customer experience and make it even easier for them to get and stay healthy, providing a wide selection of the best in class health and wellness solutions.”
