With over 100 businesses joining the Alliance, this partnership is the first of its kind in Connecticut and has been a tremendous success. Both Chambers continue to operate individually, but through the Nutmeg Alliance, chamber members can join the other chamber at a reduced cost, thereby doubling their market. “With a combined 900+ membership our members increase their business visibility, and expand their market reach” said Rosanne Ford, President of the Midstate Chamber of Commerce. Through this partnership, members can take advantage of special event rates for both Chambers, join other businesses in the Alliance’s joint networking groups, promote themselves in a larger geographic area, and increase their political voice and influence.”
While the Alliance kicked off in January just before the pandemic hit, 2020 Alliance activities sustained! A few include: Ladies’ Golf Outing in July, combined committee meetings including Health & Wellness Council and Government Affairs Council; and the creation of a Nutmeg State Chamber Alliance Legislative Agenda. Planning continues for 2021 programming.
