Obituary: Charles Karjanis, 66, Of Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home): Charles Karjanis, 66, of Hamden, joined his Lord on Monday, March 29, 2021 in the Hospital of St. Raphael campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. He is survived by his mother Marie Mazza Karjanis and his brother Steven Karjanis and Steve's wife Elizabeth Luna, all of West Haven. Charlie is also survived by nieces and nephews, Jessica and her husband James Clegg, Christopher, Steven Jr., Thaddeus and Isabel. He was predeceased by his father Charles Karjanis Sr.

Charles was born on Nov.4,1954 in New Haven and was a graduate of Hamden High School and Providence College.

He was the owner of Karjanis Cleaning of Hamden and was active in both local and state politics for many years.

Charlie is also survived and will be missed by many dear friends and adopted family members, some of whom were fortunate to join him on his world travels for over 20 years. He was also a proud supporter of many charitable causes, including St. Jude's Children's Hospital, for which memorial contributions on his behalf would be a fond remembrance.
