Obituary: Daniel M. DelVecchio, 64, of Hamden
Daniel, a devoted family man and kind-hearted soul, worked in accounting and owned and operated his own insurance brokerage firm.
HAMDEN, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) Daniel M. DelVecchio, 64, of Hamden, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 due to chronic heart illness.
Anyone who knew Dan knew they would always be greeted by a smile and a handshake.
Dan was born in New Haven, CT on September 18, 1956. He graduated from Hamden High School and SCSU and worked in accounting and business, most recently for his own insurance brokerage firm.
He adored his two children Harrison and Kyra DelVecchio more than anything else in the world. He is also survived by Teresa O’Keefe DelVecchio, his brothers Patrick DelVecchio (Isabella Fasillo), Steven DelVecchio (Debra DeNicholas Ward), Matthew DelVecchio (Katie).
Nephews and nieces – Mitchell, Parker, Hannah DelVecchio and Audrey and Charlotte DelVecchio.
Always with a kind heart and time to share a moment - Dan will be missed by many.
The family held a private service this past week to celebrate his life and asks that any donations be made in Daniel’s honor towards any charity of choice.
