Missing Dog Reunited With Owner In Hamden: UPDATE

UPDATE: Nellie was found by her owner on Friday morning, according to the animal control. She was spotted behind an apartment complex on Mix Avenue Thursday and he found her Friday morning in a stairwell behind one of the buildings, officials said.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Animal Control is asking residents to keep an eye out for Nellie, who has been missing since Jan. 6. Nellie, a white female shepherd mix, escaped her yard on Blue Hills Avenue and her last reported sighting was on Benham Street near Mix Avenue. Another possible sighting was reported on Mix Avenue near Skiff Street.

Nellie is 1-year-old and weighs 70 pounds. She is microchipped and was wearing a collar with her name and phone number when she went missing.

She is friendly but timid, according to a bulletin, which also says do not call out/ do not chase.
