Quinnipiac University Students Inducted by Sigma Theta Tau International

Seventy-eight QU students were recently inducted into the Tau Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing.

From Quinnipiac University: Seventy-eight Quinnipiac University nursing students were recently inducted into the Tau Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing, during a recent ceremony at the Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Quinnipiac.

The mission of the Sigma Theta Tau International is to advance world health and celebrate nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership and service. STTI has more than 135,000 active members residing in more than 90 countries. Thirty-nine percent of active members have master’s and/or doctoral degrees; 51 percent are in staff positions; 19 percent are administrators or supervisors; 18 percent are faculty/academics; and 12 percent are in advanced practice. There are roughly 520 chapters at more than 700 institutions of higher education.
