Sacred Heart Academy Celebrates Gold Tassel Scholars

38 members of the class of '17 have earned the 4.0 distinction by holding a cumulative 4 year minimum average of 4.0 or above.

From Sacred Heart Academy: Thirty-eight members of the Sacred Heart Academy Class of 2017 have earned the distinction of 4.0 Gold Tassel Scholar because they hold a cumulative 4 year minimum average of 4.0 or higher. As tradition dictates, these students will wear gold tassels at Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 27.

At Commencement, Valedictorian Elizabeth Lamont (Hamden) will deliver the Valedictory Address, Salutatorian Alysse Mastriano (East Haven) the Salutatory Address, and Number Three in the class, Catherine Valloso (East Haven), the Graduates’ Prayer. One hundred percent of the class – 117 young women strong – will continue their education. The Class of 2017 is proud to have received more than 20 million dollars in academic, merit, and community service scholarships and grants and one hundred percent of the class has embraced the spirit of service through 15,000 hours of community outreach.
