Seagull Causes Power Outage In Hamden: Fire Officials
Crews are on the scene of a power outage in Hamden: BREAKING

HAMDEN, CT — A seagull is to blame for a power outage on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, according to fire officials.
Officials say a seagull “landed across primaries at a transformer pole causing a direct short” in the area of 2100 Dixwell Ave. Crews are on the scene and repairs are underway.
Power was expected to be restored south of 2100 Dixwell Ave. around 1:30 p.m. and by 2 p.m. for north of 2100 Dixwell Ave.
