Sharon Resident Appointed Sr Development Dir. for Quinnipiac

​Robert D. Rathbun has been appointed senior director of development for the School of Business and the School of Engineering.

From Quinnipiac University: Robert D. Rathbun, of Sharon, has been appointed senior director of development for the School of Business and the School of Engineering at Quinnipiac University.

“Development is about providing value-added for the university and making sure we align donor interests with institutional priorities,” Rathbun said. “I am looking forward to working with the deans of the two schools in particular to support Quinnipiac’s mission.”

Rathbun comes to Quinnipiac with extensive development experience, including his most recent position at Vassar College, where he was the assistant vice president for development. He was responsible for leadership giving, planned giving, parents giving and athletic fundraising. He also has worked at Bucknell University, where he was director of leadership giving on a team that successfully completed a $500 million capital campaign. He also has been active in CASE: The Council for Advancement and Support of Education and MaGiC, a major gifts conference.

Rathbun has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
