Shoplifter Pushed Home Depot Security Officer: Hamden Police
Police said the man also threatened to use mace while stealing more than $120 worth of items at The Home Depot in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man is accused of pushing a Home Depot security officer and threatening to use mace while stealing more than $120 worth of items, according to police.
Police responded to The Home Depot at 1873 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden on March 19 on the report of a shoplifting incident, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Police found that a man, later identified as Brian Lamarco, stole two items that were valued at $123, according to Smith.

Smith said Lamarco pushed a Loss Prevention Officer and threatened to use mace.
Moments later, Sergeant Michael Doherty apprehended Lamarco in the area of Dixwell Avenue and Mather Street, according to Smith. The stolen items were recovered.

Lamarco, 38, of George Street, was arrested on charges of third-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $500 bond with a court date of May 14.
