Shots Fired At Motorcyclist In Hamden: Police

Several gunshots were fired at a man who was standing next to his motorcycle Tuesday afternoon in Hamden, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — Several gunshots were fired at a man who was standing next to his motorcycle Tuesday afternoon in Hamden, according to police.

Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Circular Avenue around 12:45 p.m. on the report of shots fired, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Police found that the victim, a 46-year-old Hamden resident, was standing next to his motorcycle that was parked on the sidewalk, according to Smith.

A man emerged from a rear parking lot and fired several shots, Smith said. The gunman was described as a black man with a beard who was around 5 feet, 8 inches tall, according to Smith.

The gunman left the area in a black Volkswagen. There were no reported injuries, according to Smith.
