Special Weather Statement Issued For Inland Southern Connecticut

The National Weather Service has just issued a Special Weather Statement for inland sections of Fairfield and New Haven counties.

In the statement, the weather service says, "Scattered snow showers moving across the region this morning may briefly result in reduced visibilities and slippery travel. Be alert for rapidly changing conditions and use extra caution while driving this morning."

As the snow showers fly, temps will be freezing over the next several days and the wind gusts will also continue to be very strong.

Partly sunny, with a high near 34. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Breezy, with a northwest wind 14 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 19. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Friday
Sunny, with a high near 28. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
