Splash Pad Opening Date Set In Hamden

HAMDEN, CT — The Splash Pad at Villano Park in Hamden will officially open for the 2021 summer season on May 28, Mayor Curt Balzano Leng and Public Works Director Craig Cesare announced in a news release.

The Splash Pad, located at 260 Mill Rock Rd., will operate on weekends until Hamden Public Schools are dismissed for the summer, according to the news release. It will be open daily starting June 21. Read more from the news release below:

Splash Pad Rules

Days and times of operation: Memorial Day through Labor Day; 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

(Weekends Only until June 21, 2021)

This is an unsupervised play area. Use it at your own risk.

Appropriate for ages 2-12. Maximum capacity for use at one time: 22 people.

Please help us keep splash pad safe and clean by following these rules

Children aged 12 and under must be supervised by an adult

Splash Pad must be evacuated at first sign of thunder and lightening

Pad may be slippery. Play carefully.

When age appropriate, swim diapers are required.

No electrical devices, glass containers or cans allowed in area.

No chairs, benches, toys, inflatables or foreign objects allowed.

No food or drink allowed.

No running or rough play.

No profane language or disruptive behavior

No climbing on equipment.

Other rules of the park apply:

No pets.

No smoking or drinking alcohol.

No bikes, scooters, skateboards or rollerblades.

Splash Pad may be closed at any time due to weather or operational concerns

The Town of Hamden reserves the right to remove anyone who violates the above rules of who engages in illegal, destructive or inappropriate behavior.
