This Week in Hamden: Traffic Calming, Solar Energy
Here's what's going on this week in Hamden.

Monday, Nov. 18:
The final presentation of traffic calming and traffic safety recommendations for the East Side, Ridge Hill, Wintergreen and Hamden Plains neighborhoods will take place tonight at 6 p.m. at the Miller Senior Center.
Another presentation takes place at 6:30 p.m. at the Hamden Public Library's Thornton Wilder Auditorium to learn more about Solarize Hamden and meet the town’s chosen installers. Learn how to make your house a solar home and sign up for your own free, no obligation solar home site visit.
Tuesday, Nov. 19:
Are you concerned about your memory? Tuesday, Nov. 19 is National Memory Screening Day and the Clelian Adult Day Center in Hamden will be offering a free and confidential memory screening. Wednesday, Nov. 20:
Hamden Hall Country Day School is offering an Imagination Station monthly series for 3- and 4-year-olds that allows them to explore and create with art, science, song and instruments. The program runs from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and will commence monthly with different themes and activities. Space is limited and there is a $60 registration fee. Friday, Nov. 21:
Congregation Mishkan Israel will celebrate the Festival of Lights with a Chanukah Dinner & Family Service. This fun family celebration is open to the community and will begin at 5:45 p.m. with a Shabbat dinner that features traditional Friday night foods as well as latkes and other favorite Chanukah treats. The evening will conclude with a Shabbat Family Service at 7:00 p.m. There is a fee for dinner. To RSVP and for more information, contact the synagogue office at (203) 288-3877.
