Hamden to Hold Annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration Jan. 13

This event offers attendees the opportunity to reflect on Dr. King's life, his mission, and how he has affected many lives.

From the Town of Hamden: Mayor Curt Balzano Leng announces that the Town of Hamden will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration on Friday, January 13th, 2017, from 12:00pm to 1:30pm, in Thornton Wilder Hall located at the Miller Library complex. (2901 Dixwell Avenue)

This event offers attendees the opportunity to reflect on Dr. King’s life, his mission, and how he has affected our lives. Members of the public are invited to attend and light refreshments will be served. Legislative Council President, Jim Pascarella, will welcome guests to this celebration. The Keynote Speaker will be former Hamden Mayor Carl Amento. The Moderator for the event will be Reverend Sallie Lowry of Gabriel Outreach Ministry, New Haven, CT.
