Hamden Transfer Station Offers Saturday Hours

Open 1st Saturday of the Month Starting July 3rd

Hamden, CT - Mayor Curt Leng and Public Works Director Craig Cesare would like to inform residents that the Hamden Transfer Station will soon be open on the first Saturday of each month, starting Saturday, July 3rd. Hours of operation on Saturdays will be 8:00am - 11:45am. The Transfer Station is located at 231 Wintergreen Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518. 

Public Works Director Cesare advised residents, “Returning Saturday hours at the Transfer Station is all part of Public Work’s goal to provide more responsible disposal options for our residents. We’ve been offering more of these opportunities at the Transfer Station, including organic food waste composting services, and we are encouraging all residents to reduce, reuse, recycle and responsibly dispose whenever possible.”
