Week in Review: Elections, QU Student Arrests and Dog Feces in Trees

Mayor Scott Jackson won a third term this week, and most of his Democratic counterparts were victorious as well. Check out the results here.

— A West Woods Road man is accused of decorating a vacant lot on his road with bags of dog feces. According to police, he would walk his dog in the area when disposing of the bags.

— After almost two dozen student arrests the week before, Quinnipiac University officials came out with some tough love for students: host a party that ends in arrests and face dismissal. Hamden Police Chief Thomas Wydra says this semester has been the worst in recent memory in terms of police activity involving students.

— Many in Hamden were shocked this week to learn of the death of local attorney Frank Raio. He died suddenly and was only 53.

— Just over the Hamden line in New Haven, a Yale University law student was attacked on the Farmington Canal linear trail which also runs through Hamden.
