The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for interior sections of New Haven County until 6 a.m. Wednesday. The advisory is only for inland areas.
The NWS says two to four inches of snow is expected now. "Snow develops this evening and lasts into the overnight period. Some mixing with rain is possible for southern portions of the area."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact both the evening commute and the morning commute with any refreezing of any slush or standing water.

Scattered snow showers, mainly after 3pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 27. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind 10 to 16 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
