HAMDEN, CT — Father's Day 2018 is this weekend and we’re celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Connecticut to share their dads whether the father figure in their life is their biological dad, stepdad, or granddad.
Hamden resident and Patch reader Christina Martindale shares this photo and message to her father Richard Martindale of Madison. The photo is of them in Madison on Christmas Eve 2017:
“My Dad is my best friend, my rock & just an amazing man. He is an incredible father that always puts his children first. Some might say he is a workaholic, but truthfully he is just a loyal, hardworking person who does whatever it takes to take care of his family. He is creative, smart and funny too, with many cool hobbies & interests. We have a blast together whether it's going to antique stores, building a birdbath from yard "junk", seeing live music or even just pizza at home. Throughout my life, my friends have always said, "Your Dad is so cool and also just the nicest guy!" -- I couldn't agree on anything more. Father’s Day is every day for me, when I have such a special Dad!”
