3-Car Crash Closes Section Of I-84, Traffic Backs Into Manchester
A three-car crash in East Hartford closed Interstate-84 and caused a traffic jam in Manchester.
MANCHESTER, CT — A three-car crash on Interstate-84 Thursday afternoon in East Hartford closed the highway and backed up traffic well into Manchester.
The state Department of Transportation posted an alert that the crash took place just before 3 p.m. and that the road was closed 15 minutes later.
The crash was on the Westbound side of I-84 between Exits 58 and 57.

Investigators were at the scene and no cause had been released by either the DOT or state police by nighttime, but the road had been opened back up.
